ReplyDeleteI saw a rad orange and white Shasta a little while ago. I wanted it. This is going to turn out good. Are you still keeping your camper?
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous. She is going to be super cute. Billy and I have always wanted a little airstream. We have visions of traveling to various hotrod shows with a cute little trailer in tow. You guys are going to have so much fun. I can't wait to peek in your progress.

ReplyDeletewe sold our tent trailer recently and made a small profit on it, so we decided to try something else and we always seem to lean towards vintage stuff. i love the idea of being able to pull over on a road trip and make lunch in the trailer rather than hitting taco bell, etc... most travel trailers today are way to heavy to pull with our van, so this was one of the only ways to go without getting a truck. i researched like crazy and went and saw several trailers before pulling the trigger on this one. it needs a lot of work, but the body is straight and the frame is good. can't wait for it to be done. hoping to be completely done by the end of september, but i think we'll be able to take it camping before summer is out.
ReplyDeleteThis is the perfect project for you guys. I can't wait to see the progress.
ReplyDeleteThis trailor was made for you guys. No doubt it will be super cute when done. Can't wait to get up to the mountains and play yatzee or rummy on that table. Good times await...Tell Molly and Sophie to save room for Olivia and I in their bed so we can stay up giggling all night.
ReplyDeleteThis trailor is so cute...and what a great project! Are we related? This is so something Todd and I would do. We will definatly be following your progress and expect an invite on that first camping trip (or one of them) :) that is unless your intimadated by my extreme rummy skills.....Have fun and happy trails!
ReplyDeletethanks. ya we are super excited to get it done and start taking it camping and to lots of other destinations. i will be posting more pics tonight. the dinette seats are back from the upholsterer and look great. i have gutted the trailer of all bad (water rotted) wood and sealed all bad joints with silicone. next up is replacing the bad wood with new insulation, support wood and paneling. it's coming along!
ReplyDeleteCouldn't be prouder of my brother and his sweet family for living out dreams instead of keeping them on the back burner! You are going to have some good times in the shasta! Hey I know, you should christen it with some Shasta hee hee! Love you all!
